Gerry Island – Marblehead, Ma

Gerry Island is a a 1.6-acre small island that was named after Thomas, the father of Elbridge Gerry.

When the tide is low a natural bridge appears and people are able to get to the island by foot.

The Island became part of  The Trustees of Reservations ( a nonprofit organization) in 2018 by a donation of the owners, Ted and Julie Moore, who purchased the land in 1998 for $380,000.

The organization opened the island for visitors but due to the correct world situations asks people to follow the social distancing guidelines.
