Cathedral of Learning – Pittsburgh

Cathedral of Learning  designed by the architect Charles Klauder is listed in the National Register of Historic Places is the centerpiece of the University of Pittsburgh’s main campus. Standing at 535 feet (163 m), the 42-story Late Gothic Revival Cathedral is the tallest educational building in the Western hemisphere and the second tallest university building (fourth tallest educationally-purposed building) in the world. It is also the second tallest gothic-styled building in the world.

Phipps Conservatory – Pittsburgh

Phipps is one of the “greenest” facilities in the world. Its greenhouse production facility has received Platinum certification, the first and only greenhouse to be so certified. Its purpose is to educate and entertain the people of Pittsburgh with formal gardens (Roman, English, etc.) and various species of exotic plants (palm trees, succulents, bonsai, orchids, etc.)

Torres del Paine – Patagonia, Chile

Torres del Paine National Park s a national park encompassing mountains, glaciers, lakes, and rivers in southern Chilean Patagonia. The Torres del Paine are the distinctive three granite peaks of the Paine mountain range or Paine Massif. They extend up to 2,500 meters above sea level, and are joined by the Cuernos del Paine.
