Gerry Island is a\u00a0a 1.6-acre small island that was named after Thomas, the father of Elbridge Gerry.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

When the tide is low a natural bridge appears and people are able to get to the island by foot.<\/p>\n

The Island became part of\u00a0 The Trustees of Reservations ( a nonprofit organization) in 2018 by a donation of the owners, Ted and Julie Moore, who purchased the land in 1998 for $380,000.<\/p>\n

The organization opened the island for visitors but due to the correct world situations asks people to follow the social distancing guidelines.<\/p>\n
