Machu Picchu is one of the most famous places in the world, I feel very lucky to have visited it.\u00a0 One way to get to Aguas Calientes, the closest town to Machu Picchu is to walk. The scenery is very pretty and you never feel alone since a lot of tourist take this option.<\/p>\n

Aguas Calientes, is a tourist town, full of hotels and restaurants.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Because I am from Chile my entrance ticket to the area was around $ 30 US dollars, which is very expensive compare to other sites in Peru.<\/p>\n

The place is very well take care off, clean and well signaled, they are tour guides everywhere, which helps a lot to know the story of the place.\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

To go up to Machu Picchu and to Huayna Picchu mountain\u00a0 you need to buy a different ticket,\u00a0 $50 Us extra.\u00a0 This tourist attraction gets so busy at times that the entrance could be sold out, so it’s better to get the entrance tickets in advance.<\/p>\n

I have never gone up so many stairs in my life, while going up you start seeing people sitting on the side, but there is always an elderly person that climbs the stairs like there is nothing, making you feel terrible, so you keep on going.<\/p>\n
