The Audrain Building Museum is one example of the Gilded Age buildings around Newburyport, Rhode Island.\u00a0 Designed by the famous architect Bruce Price in 1903 (mostly known for his “shingle style”).<\/p>\n

The inspiration for this building came\u00a0 for italy, a\u00a0 Florentine Renaissance revival, brick facade, arched windows,\u00a0 a roofline formed by a white terra-cotta balustrade with lion sculptures.<\/p>\n

Due to the damages created by\u00a0 a hurricane the building went into 20 million\u00a0 a renovation.<\/p>\n

The museum hosts 18 cars at a time. Exhibitions are always rotating, there are more than 300 cars in the collection which belongs to 3 private owners.<\/p>\n

I am not a person that is “into cars”, for me a car is a machine that takes you from point A to B, and there are no more thoughts about it. However I spend more than hour admiring the design\u00a0 of 18 cars. The construction of this machines is simply exquisite, there was such a great craftsmanship, the details were quite amazing.\u00a0 I guess when there is the need to mass produce something it is necessary to simplify the details.\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n
